‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Atomic Blonde’ dominate weekend box office predictions

(WARNER BROS.) – Christopher Nolan’s WW2 drama ‘Dunkirk’ is projected to bring in another $28.3 million to top the North American box office for a second weekend. The film has already earned $50.5 million, according to boxofficemojo.com.

‘Atomic Blonde’ starring Charlize Theron is projected to make $20 million on its opening weekend and the animated feature ‘The Emoji Movie’ is expected to earn $22 million in its debut.

‘Girls Trip,’ is expected to earn another $17.8 million after taking in $30.37 million during its debut weekend. The comedy, which stars Queen Latifah, Regina Hall and Jada Pinkett Smith, is about a group of friends on a trip to New Orleans.

In its fourth weekend, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is expected to bring in $11 million. The action adventure movie has grossed $275 million domestically.
