British-born editor of U.S. Vogue made a dame by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth. Francis Maguire reports.

But Anna Wintour was all smiles after she was made a dame.

The British-born editor of U.S. Vogue was given the title by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth on Friday for services to fashion and journalism.

She posed with her daughter Bee Shaffer and the award after the ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The 67 year-old has been in charge at Vogue for almost 30 years.

Making her one of the most influential voices in high-end fashion.
