Solange and Women’s March organizers honored at Webby Awards

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (MAY 15, 2017) (THE WEBBY AWARDS) – Singer Solange and actors Gillian Anderson and Steve Buscemi were honored at the 21st annual Webby awards in New York on Monday (May 15).

The Webbys, which honor the internet’s biggest visionaries, allow each winner to utter only five words in their acceptance speeches.

Solange, who was named artist of the year, accepted her award, and said “I got five on it.”

Actress Gillian Anderson was reunited with her X-Files costar David Duchovny who presented her with the Actress of The Year Webby for role in the TV series, ‘The Fall.’

Steve Buscemi was named Actor of The Year and was presented with the honor by comedian Louis C.K.

The big award of the night, the Webby for the Social Movement of the Year, went to the Organizers of the Women’s March Carmen Perez, Linda Sarsour, and Bob Bland.
