LEICESTERSHIRE, ENGLAND (SEPTEMBER 21, 2017) (REUTERS) – Reuters journalists were taken to a secretly located ‘Fast Camp’ for a sneak preview of the new ‘Fast and Furious Live’ show on Thursday (September 21).
The multi-million pound production’s creative director Rowland French says they will bring action-packed scenes from the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchises to a live arena audience by using projection technology.
‘Fast & Furious Live’ incorporates clips format the franchise, some original cast appearances and new characters. But the cars are still the main stars of the show, and according to Rowland that meant they needed to create new technology for the vehicle stunts to work with the projections, including specially designed tyres that don’t leave black marks.
‘Fast and Furious Live’ will debut at the O2 arena, London in January 2018 before it embarks on a world tour. Fast & Furious 8 is out on digital on October 2, blu-ray™ and DVD October 16.
